Keratinocyte Cancers
As the name suggests, keratinocyte cancers are neoplasms which originate from keratinocytes, which can either be squamous cell keratinocytes, or basal cell keratinocytes in the epidermis.
The cancers which may arise from these cells include Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC), Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC), and Bowen's Disease which is sometimes termed SCC in-situ. These are more common as we age, and are often associated with exposure to UV radiation.
